VAASTU AND YOUR DESTINY   What is Vaastu? Vaastu is a science, which deals with the creation of a harmonious energy field in a structure or a building.   How does vaastu work? Basically vaastu is all about the interaction of various forms of energy in a structure. Whole universe is an expanding mass, formed at the time of the big bang. The expansion still goes on churning out more galaxies and star systems. From all these astral bodies, various types of radiation are being emitted. All radiation is again a form of energy. Although we classify various forms of energies as heat, light, sound etc. but all these can be converted into one another and thus ultimately all forms of energy are the same. There are some forms of energy which our senses can perceive such as heat, light, sound etc. but other forms of energies like ultraviolet light, infrared rays or supersonic sounds can not be perceived by our senses but they are there in the universe. As matter is also a condensed form of energy, we can easily see that all we perceive as a matter or energy is in fact energy only. In short whole universe is an energy field and we are a part of this energy field.   A lot represents a balanced energy field. When a structure is placed in it, the energy field in the plot gets disturbed and the flow of energy starts. If the structure is in proper sector of the plot energy flow will be from positive sector to negative sector and plot will have flow of positive energy. If the structure is in wrong sector, energy flow will be from negative sector to positive sector & the plot will have flow of negative energy. Again, even if we have positive flow in the plot, the structure is to be designed so that it can receive that positive flow otherwise the positive flow gets wasted.   How vaastu affects human life? According to “Ayurveda” human body is an energy-capturing device and we can capture this energy through five elements – space, air, fire, water and earth.   It has been scientifically proved that human body is surrounded by a magnetic field (called Aura) and also different types of energies are continuously interacting in human body. If this body is placed in a field of energy, it definitely gets affected by that field. So if a building has a negative energy field, it certainly affects the energy field of the humans living in the building thereby affecting their thought process. The thought process affects the actions and our actions cause our destiny. As we know our destiny is sum total of our actions. So it is clear that vaastu defects manifest through the human beings living in the building. Thus if we are successful in creating good atmosphere in a building we will succeed in ensuring health and happiness of the inhabitants. The positive atmosphere brings out the best in us. The same principles apply for a shopping establishment, industry or a business center. In all these places, if the workers are cheerful and their approach is positive and plans are put in to faultless execution ensuring an all round growth of the enterprise.   Indications of vaastu effects   Even non-believers of vaastu must have experienced following indications at one time or the other.   1.    Many times we classify various structures as having ‘good’ or ‘bad’ atmosphere. We may be at loss for words. It is not the lighting or ventilation. It is not the wall colors or the polished flooring. Still we understand the term ‘atmosphere’ and nod our head wisely although we are unable to explain it. But we all know that it exists and varies from place to place. 2.    If you have a pet you will notice how sensitive it is to what we call atmosphere. In your house it searches for a specific place where it will curl to relax. Take it away from that place and it will return again and again to the same place. 3.    You have entered houses where you find atmosphere pleasant. Automatically, you relax and are at your witty best. 4.    There are those gloomy houses, dull classrooms, dark laboratories, stinking offices where you start counting your minutes to get out at the first opportunity. 5.    People throng to some selected holy places, sacred temples, sea-beaches, waterfalls, and lakeside, all because of ‘atmosphere’.    Vaastu corrections   If we have a plot we can very easily plan & construct building on it to get the best vaastu benefits. In case of already built up buildings, which are against vaastu, if corrections are carried out properly, they give desired results. Users can feel the change in atmosphere almost immediately. There is obviously no equivalent to carrying out structural corrections through demolitions and renovations, but these are not always practical or possible due to various factors such as – cost, building by-laws, strength of structure, rented house, layout compulsions etc. In such cases changing the energy field through (1) Feng shui (2) Pyramids has been found to be very effective.   Feng Shui : Fengshui cures can be employed for energising various sectors of a house or apartment. Feng shui gadgets stimulate the environment to cause progress and prosperity of the family members.   Pyramids: Pyramid is a Greek word, which means ‘Fire in the center’. Hence we can understand that pyramid produces energy at the center or rather it is an energy generator. Experiments carried out on small pyramid models conforming to the dimensions of the pyramid of Giza have conclusively proved that energies emitted from apex and from base are like male & female parts of bio-energy and energy which is released at one third height from the base inside the pyramid is akin to bio-energy. Probably the three types of energy released from a pyramid are comparable to the ‘Vata’, ‘Pitta’ and ‘Kapha’ concept of Ayurveda.
